About Steve

As a coach Steve has proven success in producing multi masters World Champions, European and British cycling champions, as well as youth and para-cycling national champions and medalists.

As a cyclist Steve's palmarès include:

  • Numerous elite National British Championship track titles, including elite National track sprint champion and multiple elite national medals

  • Steve still holds a British elite national record in two-track sprint distances

  • Steve has represented GB at several elite World Track Championships and international Grand Prix’s

  • Steve has won multiple British, European and 7x UCI World masters track championships, his last one in Los Angeles in 2022

Steve currently works for the Great Britain Cycling Team as a Paracycling Development Coach, and he has worked for the UCI as Lead Para Coach at Aigle, Switzerland at the World Cycling Centre (2015-2019).

Steve is committed to delivering coaching of the very highest standard and to that end he has continued his education way beyond the minimum standards required.
 
This enables him to keep abreast of developments in cycling and also allow him to provide a truly holistic approach to health and fitness.
 
Steve's M.Sc. in Sports Nutrition from Ulster University is helping him to develop his athletes' knowledge of nutrition for performance, training, recovery and general health.

  • Member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).

  • Member of the "UK Strength & Conditioning Association".

  • Member of "The Nutrition Society, UK"

  • Member of the "Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners"

  • Full British Cycling CRB checked and First Aid Qualification.

  • Full coaching insurance.
