Debbie Capewell World Masters Track Champion 2015
I met Steve when I started riding masters competitions. I used to do OK but had no focus and struggled with getting my head around training. As a busy mum and with working as a community nurse, I used to use any excuse not to train and just train non specifically when I could.
Over the past few years, I have really enjoyed my cycling more than ever.
Steve and I sit down and review my training at regular periods through the year to see if everything is going OK. We sit down at the end of the year and talk about what helped, what didn’t, whether I met my targets, what I found hard, what was easy. Then we discuss the goals for the following season and plan how best to go about achieving these.
Each year for the past few years I have improved my strength, power and speed, and I have continued to post new PB's at major championships. In 2016 I achieved a major goal by becoming a world masters champion. I also won two silver medals at the world masters and also two national champs jerseys.
Steve has helped me train more efficiently and effectively with the time available.
I have become stronger both mentally and physically, and with Steve's expertise I am still getting faster at fifty!
